Graphite Nunofelt Silk Vest
A stunning, radiant Nunofelt vest made with pieces of silk chiffons, habotai silks, and printed silk chiffons and printed silk crepe georgettes as well as merino wool fibers. It is reversible and creates two very different looks. One side is a warm gray with subtle tones of gray and black merino wool showing as well as little hints of color. The other side is a bold graphic black white and gray.
It is ultra lightweight and adds style without bulk or too much warmth. You can let it hang loose or add a pin for a more formal affair.
This piece is a size 10 to 16 US. It is about 56" from left to right and about 34" long in the center back.
It is made using the nunofelting process. Wool fibers and pieces of silk are laid on both sides of 8 feet of silk and merged together using water, soap, & agitation. The wool shrinks the entire piece over 50% percent, creating lovely rippling and texture.
